Veteran Workshop - Clock + Laser Etching

Service Description

Looking for the perfect introductory workshop that is all about empowering and educating the veteran community. This workshop will combine both woodworking and design process using the laser machine. This workshop is an interactive, fun and hands-on workshop with no experience required. You will be using real tools in a real workshop, based here in Townsville. If booking for a child, please note that they are parent accompanied workshop, where a parent/guardian is required to stay for the duration of the workshop. You never know, you may even learn a few skills yourself! Woodworking is an excellent way to increase your co-ordination, enhance problem solving skills, spatial awareness and unleash creative ability. The timber clock component will run for approx. 1 hour and the laser etching component will take approx 1 hour. Each participant will build their own timber clock to take home. Each project is customisable with designated designs from the laser etcher. They will learn how to use tools such as the drop saw, cordless drill, impact driver, router, square, F clamps, and handsaw and a variety of skills such as measuring, marking, gluing and sawing to name a few.
