Book A Workshop Tour (NDIS)
Meet the team, tour the workshop, and see how Life Skills Queensland can support your goals.
Service Description
The Life Skills Queensland Workshop Tour is the first step in our onboarding process for NDIS participants and their support networks. This guided, in-person tour provides an opportunity for NDIS participants, family members, support workers, and coordinators to visit our workshop, meet our team, and gain an understanding of what Life Skills Queensland offers. The tour allows participants to view the workshop environment, see the types of activities we deliver, and understand how our programs support skill development, confidence, independence, and community participation. Workshop tours are provided free of charge and typically take no longer than 30 minutes. By booking a workshop tour, you are guaranteed that a Life Skills Queensland staff member will be available to welcome you, show you around the workshop, and answer any questions you may have. Our preference is to always pre-plan workshop tours to ensure appropriate staff availability and a positive experience for all visitors. Equally important, the workshop tour allows our team to get to know the participant. During the visit, we take the time to understand the participant’s goals, interests, strengths, and support needs. We also discuss any disability-related considerations, communication preferences, supervision requirements, and safety needs to ensure we can provide a safe, practical, and supportive workshop environment. The workshop tour helps determine: - Whether Life Skills Queensland is a suitable service for the participant - Which workshop sessions may best align with the participant’s goals and abilities - What supports or reasonable adjustments may be required - Next steps in onboarding, including service agreements and commencement timing There is no obligation to commence services following the tour. The purpose of this visit is to ensure the best possible fit between the participant and our programs and to allow everyone involved to make an informed decision. If circumstances change, workshop tours can be rescheduled as required. Workshop tours operate Monday to Friday at scheduled times (excluding public holidays and planned closures).

Cancellation Policy
Workshop tours at Life Skills Queensland are provided free of charge and are arranged in advance to ensure staff availability. If you need to cancel or reschedule a confirmed workshop tour, we ask that you notify Life Skills Queensland as soon as possible, preferably with at least 24 hours’ notice. Providing notice allows us to adjust staff schedules and offer the time to other participants. If a workshop tour is missed without notice, future tour requests may require additional confirmation or may be subject to limited availability. Life Skills Queensland may need to reschedule or cancel a workshop tour due to unforeseen circumstances, including staff availability, safety considerations, or operational requirements. Where possible, we will provide notice and offer an alternative time.
