Veteran Workshop - DIY Home Maintenance

Service Description

A relaxed workshop for all members of the veteran community, to come down to the air-conditioned workshop and pick up a few new skills and tricks of the trade. Also enjoy the bonus of meeting some new people. While the workshop is somewhat structured, we let the questions you want answers to guide the direction of the workshop. We will look at drilling and screwing into different materials such as wood, steel and concrete. Look at options around hanging pictures on plaster board. Have a play isolating a water meter, changing tap washers, shower roses and using thread tape. Run through how to use basic power tools such as the drill, impact driver, sander, jigsaw, drop saw and table planer. A small section on safety will ensure you have the basics before making a start.
