A relaxed workshop for women of all ages and abilities to come down to the air conditioned workshop and pick up a few new skills and tricks of the trade. Also enjoy the bonus of meeting some new people. While the workshop is some what structured, we let the questions you want answers to guide the direction of the workshop. We will look at drilling and screwing into different materials such as wood, steel and concrete. Look at options around hanging pictures on plaster board. Have a play isolating a water meter, changing tap washers, shower roses and using thread tape. Run through how to use basic power tools such as the drill, impact driver, sander, jigsaw, drop saw and table planer. Discuss the options around a range of hand tools. A small section on safety will ensure you have the basics before making a start.
